As usual we are keeping very busy. Grades 1-5 have been using our TTL4 program to practice typing. For Grades 3 - 5, please have your child bring in their typing homework each week. There is a required 40 minute per week homework. Kindergartners were introduced to the Type to Learn Jr. program. As the year progresses, I will introduce TTL4 to them.
With the intro to keyboarding skills, Kindergartners have also created beautiful works of art using our KidPix Deluxe 4 program.
1st Graders created digital self-portraits which are currently displayed in the lab. Come by and take a peek.
2nd Graders have created pictures about themselves and are in the process of incorporating them into their very own slide show which they will then present to the class.
3rd Graders have learned the art of a book publishing software called EasyBook Deluxe and can create beautiful illustrations as well as a captivating story.
4th Graders completed their 3D digital models using SketchUp. There are certainly some budding architectural engineers in the making.
5th Graders used the advanced tools of SketchUp to create dream homes. In addition to this, they also played a math simulation game that enforced their knowledge of the order of operations. Remember PEMDAS?
